New front entrance

We’re now four weeks into Term Four and the end of the school year is quickly approaching.

New staff
For a variety of reasons, including some staff taking family leave, we have added several new staff to our team since midway through last term. These
staff include Education Support staff Craig Perry, Pip Lander and Tully Humphreys who are supporting our students in and out of the classroom. We have also added classroom teachers Anisah Furness and Laura Harradine who are replacing some staff members on leave. Some of these staff members have grown up in our community, and others are new to the area. They have already had a significant impact on our school and I’m proud to say that they have been made to feel most welcome by our school community.

Year 12
We’re also very proud of our Year 12 students. Some of these students began their VCE exams this week, while others are entering the world of work, including several apprenticeships. They’ve worked hard for 13 years, and we wish them well as they transition to the next stage of their lives. We look forward to acknowledging these students at the Valedictory Dinner to be held on Friday November 22nd.

Front Steps
Immediately after the VCE exams are finished, later in November, construction of the new front steps will begin. We had hoped that our entry would have been completed in time for the opening of our new school last January, but for a variety of reasons, construction was delayed. As well as improving safety, our new steps will provide an obvious entry to the school and a ‘sense of arrival’ for visitors. The accompanying picture shows how we expect our new entry to look.
