A career in education was something I aspired to growing up, as I enjoy helping people and sharing knowledge. My background made teaching a career that I was familiar with, as both my father and grandmother were teachers making me a third-generation teacher in my family. Now my daughter has made herself the fourth generation, recently finishing her degree. My areas of interest in teaching have always been in Psychology and English but I have taught in many areas throughout the years from Indonesian, Physical Education, Humanities and Cooking.

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing students mature over the years and being able to watch them succeed when they thought something was too hard for them to master. The small class sizes at OCC make it a special place to work and make the successes students have more obvious and able to be celebrated.

Outside of school I follow my children in their sporting endeavours, from hockey, netball and football to horse riding and golf there is always something to do or somewhere to be, but I also enjoy time at the beach or the river with Conran being one of my favourite places.
